A replacement valve knocker to help out after a pesky hammer down reload!
There’s not much to say here really except I got frustrated when my brand new Hi Power became a paperweight all because of a cheap cast part snapping! So I decided to take matters into my own hands and make my own valve knocker! You can get one for yourself for only £5, or for more peace of mind, you can get three for £10!
Do These Fare Better Than The Original?
As my version is made from nylon it has a little more flex than the original so *should* survive a hammer down reload, but may require a bit of re-bending to get it functional again.
In testing I’ve found that it’ll stop the mag being seated long enough you’ll realise and cock it, though usually it will then light strike. To remedy the light striking, take the slide off, manually drop the hammer and then push down on the exposed knocker to correctly reshape it.
